Haskell History: General Sources

This LibGuide provides a strategy to locate and use resources available at the HINU Tommaney Library and/or free online resources that provide background on how Haskell developed since its founding in 1884.

General Sources

This section is for sources that are more general in nature. They appeal to a wider audience and often cover more time periods than academic sources. While these works are still essential for understanding the history of Haskell and are created by reputable sources, some of them are better used to create a research question rather than cite in an academic paper. Many of these more general works also cite sources that are more detailed, which make them excellent starting points for further research.
